Singapore short term rental

A month ago, two friends (and ex-colleagues) have arrived Singapore for a short term work visit and they had needed a short term accommodation in Singapore without burning their pocket deeply. Singapore is not a cheap place to rent a residential unit and it is difficult to find a reasonably priced short term accommodation.

We have found out that even if they were willing to pay a lot, most of the serviced apartments and short term accommodation places were full and they have ended up hopping from one hotel to another. While I was trying to help them, I had discovered short term residential flat rental arm of Far East Organization. You can also restrict your search with minimum and maximum rental payment.

I had a chance to talk with a very nice and helpful lady when I called them and she told me that they have diversified portfolio of short term accommodation options ranging from 2,000 Singapore Dollars plus to 5,000 SGD plus. A check with their search facility also lists several units reasonably priced below 3,000 SGD per month.

For example they offer 2+1 (3 room) units in Gold Palm Mansions in Telok Kurau (East near city center) for S$ 2,700 per month. The development has normal standard condo facilities like security, swimming pool and basement car park.

If you are willing to save every dollar you can, they also offer 2 bedroom units in Siglap Centre (Upper East Coast) for 2,400 SGD per month and 3 bedroom units for 2,700 SGD. It is much better option to stay in a hotel for a week especially if you come more than 1 person since a decent hotel room in Singapore now starts from 130 SGD and usually averages around 150 SGD.
