As a natural paradise,Langkawi is perhaps unmatched anywhere else in South East Asia. This archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea with the biggest named Langkawi Island,  is perfect for doing everything or nothing at all. You can enjoy nature-based activities, or simply laze by the beach. There are also several unique attractions such as natural parks, caves, infamous cable car, underwater world, many small islands and coral reefs for snorkelling and skuba diving. Langkawi is also a perfect place to charter a yacht and enjoy the wonders of Andaman Sea.

By far the largest of the islands is the eponymous Pulau Langkawi with a population of some 64,792, the only other inhabited island being nearby Pulau Tuba. Langkawi is also an administrative district with the town of Kuah as largest town. Langkawi is a duty-free island.
