Google Nexus S, the newest android mobile phone from Google is available from all three Singapore mobile operators from today. The handsets will be available with discounted prices for those who sign 2 years contract. Nexus S, produced by South Korean tech giant Samsung, comes with a 4'' screen, 5 mega pixel camera and 512 MB memory.
Samsung announced that consumers in Singapore can buy the phone for 828 SGD without a contract at retailers like Planet Telecom. M1 is selling it for 498 SGD with a two-year contract.
Android is an operating system for mobile devices (i.e. smartphones, tablets), developed and promoted by Google. Android phones are getting very popular in Singapore, 40 percent of all smartphones sold in Singapore were running on Android. In US, android based smartphones occupy number 2 position before Apple's iOs (operating system of iPhone and iPad) but after RIM (BlackBerry).
