M1 internet 3G and 4G connection down

"Some of our customers are experiencing intermittent access issues with mobile data. We are addressing the issue and apologise for the inconvenience" wrote Singapore Telco M1 on its Facebook today after some M1 customers reported problems with accessing the internet on their phones.

M1 later updated its Facebook to tell that they have fixed the problem:

We have rectified the issue that caused some of our customers to experience intermittent mobile data access, and we apologise for the inconvenience.

Singapore's 3 telcos; SingTel, StarHub and M1 has announced their Samsung Galaxy S4 contract price plans for Singapore simultaneously, 5 days before the highly anticipated smartphone's availability here. The price plans are all similar to each other but if you have not decided which operator to use yet or you are pinching the pennies, below tables can help you to decide.

Samsung Galaxy S4 release date in Singapore is 27 April 2013 (this Saturday). Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S4 with LTE price will be S$998 without contract. Customers who pre-registered for the Samsung Galaxy S4 online with the three local mobile operators (M1, SingTel and StarHub) will be entitled to a limited edition accessory pack comprising a car charger, desktop dock and HDTV adapter, while stocks last. Registration for Samsung Galaxy S4 began on 17 April.

With a 5-inch screen equipped with a 1080p Super AMOLED panel, 13-megapixel camera and many software features like S Voice Drive, translation, smart scroll and group play Samsung Galaxy S4 is one of the best Android phones ever and is expected to be a bigger hit that its highly successful predecessor Samsung Galaxy S3.

SingTel Samsung Galaxy S4 Contract Price Plans start from the cheapest Flexi Lite which would eventually cost you $1,536 up to Flexi Premium which comes with a total price tag of  $4,920. 4G prepaid data service in Singapore by M1

Singapore's first 4G prepaid data service, M1 4G Prepaid Data, is announced by M1 Limited (M1). According to a statement released by M1, with the M1 4G Prepaid Data, M1 prepaid customers can now enjoy faster data access on their tablets and other mobile devices on M1's nationwide 4G network, with theoretical download speeds of up to 75Mbps(*). The M1 4G Prepaid Data is available at S$18 and comes with 1GB of local data, valid for 30 days' usage or upon completion of data bundle. Available through a Micro or Nano SIM card, customers can easily top up the M1 4G Prepaid Data via the M1 top-up card or a credit card.

"Leveraging on our nationwide 4G network, we are pleased to offer Singapore's first 4G prepaid broadband service. Our prepaid customers will now be able to enjoy ultra-fast nationwide 4G data access and an enhanced mobile experience," said Mr P. Subramaniam, Chief Marketing Officer, M1 Limited.
