Samsung Galaxy Note 5 release in Singapore

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 smart phone will be released in Singapore on saturday 15th August 2015 and the basic model price will be $1,088. This is different from the previous releases since Samsung was announcing new Galaxy Note models in Septembers and shipping them in Octobers (Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was announced in Berlin in September 2014).

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features a 64 bit quad core CPU, 5.7 Inch QHD Super Amoled display, Android 5.1.1. Lollipop and comes in 32 GB / 64 GB memory and 4 GB RAM. Unlike the previous Galaxy Note models, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will not have removable batteries and will not feature microSD cards. And like Samsung Galaxy S6, this Note 6 model has glass and metal chassis.

Samsung has created this phablet market (large screen phones) but is losing ground to Apple's IPhone 6 Plus and some cheaper Android phablet producers.

Samsung Galaxy S6 in Singapore

Samsung Galaxy S6 is almost certain to be launched on 1st March 2015 at a special 'Unpacked' event by Samsung in Barcelona at MWC 2015. Korean electronic giant has just posted a teaser video for its March 1 event where you can have short glimpses to the upcoming Galaxy S6.

Samsung Galaxy S6 will probably be released in April 2015. Both Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5 were launched in April 2013 and April 2015. But still there are also rumours that Galaxy S6 can be launched as early as March 22.

Samsung Galaxy S6 price is expected to be higher than Galaxy S5. 32 GB Galaxy S6 will be USD 855, 64 GB will be USD 970 and 128 GB will be USD 1085.

There is no official information released about the smartphone but there are several Samsung Galaxy S6 leaked images circulating in the internet.

We wıll update this post regularly as more information comes.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in Singapore

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date in Singapore is expected to be late September 2014, and according to Singapore hardware zone web site, the new Galaxy Note will  be released in Singapore on September 26th 2014.

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has just unvailed the new Galaxy Note 4 features a crisper, 5.7-inch display in a metal frame in Berlin. The display size is same with galaxy s3.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 price in Singapore is not revealed yet (actually it is not revealed anywhere yet).

Before Samsung Galaxy Note series, it was received to be ridiculous to hold such a large screen to your ear and talk. But since the introduction of the phablet in 2011, Samsung's large screen-size became a standard for high end smartphones. I use Samsung Galaxy Note 3 now and I am quite happy with the screen size. After this phone, it feels very ackward to use iPhone 5S.

Samsung is struggling to keep up with rivals and although it is the largest smartphone maker in the world now, its profits are falling. Nevertheless, Samsung made Android devices very popular. In 2011, you could hardly see a Samsung smartphone in a Singapore MRT train. 2 years later in 2013 and this year, most smartphones in peoples hands are Samsung Galaxy series (Galaxy S and Galaxy Note).

Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has the same design and screen size with Note 3 but it has a metalic frame.

But according to market analysts, Samsung Galaxy S5 was a big disappointment (compared to the traffic Samsung Galaxy S4 page got, Samsung Galaxy S5 page in this blog was very low which makes me agree with them). Even the latest version of now very old iPhone series oversold S4.

My opinion is that Samsung should stop Galaxy S series and focus on Galaxy Notes. It seems like when smartphone age started with iPhone, they were very small and when tablet age started with iPad, tablets were too big. Now this "size" problem is converging in the middle on a smartphone line called phablet. And Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the best representative of this line.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Specs:
Display : 5.7in AMOLED QHD, 2,560x1,440
CPU      :  Exynos 5433 octa-core CPU (4 cores at 1.9GHz and 4 cores at 1.3GHz) or Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core chip
Camera  : 16-megapixel rear and 3.7 megapixels front facing

Samsung Galaxy S4 release date in Singapore is on April 27. The price of Galaxy S4 will be S$998 without contract according to Samsung. Samsung was rumored to launch the new smartphone in Singapore in May but they have finally came up with an earlier date. Samsung has announced the release date and price of Galaxy S4 during the launch event for the Samsung Fashion Steps Out 2013.

Samsung Galaxy S4 will probably sell very well. All 3 telcos in Singapore, M1, SingTel and StarHub started to collect the registration of interest for the Samsung GALAXY S4 With LTE on 17 April 2013. And already M1 registration is closed "due to overwhelming response". As of now, SingTel and StarHub registrations are still open.

All 3 telcos also announced their Samsung Galaxy S4 price plans.

Registration of interest pages for SingTel is https://www.singtelshop.com/GalaxyS4/ and StarHub is http://phones.starhub.com/galaxys4/. Registration of interest does not guarantee to get a phone but if you get one, it willcome with Limited Edition Accessory Pack worth $160.

Samsung Galaxy S4 will be launched in Singapore with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. Galaxy S4 outside of the US was expected to come with the new Exynos 5 Octa Core mobile processor. While in Singapore we will only be able to purchase the GT-I9505 model with Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.9GHz, other countries in the region, such as Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, India are likely to get the Exynos 5 Octa model (the GT-I9500) :(

Samsung Galaxy S4 release date in Singapore is April 27 2013.
Registration of interest has already started.
Probably LTE is to get the blame that Singapore is not getting the international version as Exynos 5 do not support LTE at the moment and the LTE enabled Exynos 5 chip will be limited to South Korea first.

Samsung Galaxy S4 release date in Malaysia is not announced yet but pre-orders will be open on April 20.
