Crocodile meat

A few months ago I have taken a visiting friend from Belgium to Old Airport Road Hawker Centre for crocodile meat. There is a hawker here cooking crocodile and although I do not find the meat very interesting, he wanted to try and we have ordered a crocodile dish heavily coated with vegetables and herbs. It was actually not bad. It is definitely interesting for people to try exotic dishes (and take a lot of Facebook photo while doing that).

Some say that the taste of crocodile is something between chicken and crab. It may be but it is not as delicious as crab or chicken. But more must be finding it interesting enough to try and even cook at home. Yes, in Singapore you can buy crocodile meat from supermarket. NTUC FairPrice sells frozen crocodile meats in its large branches. You can also find it in some Sheng Siong branches. The meat consumed in Singapore is made in Singapore, all crocodile meat comes from Long Kuan Hung crocodile farm located near Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.
