AirAsia flights to Da Nang from Kuala Lumpur will be cancelled

Malaysian low cost airline AirAsia will cancel its 4 times weekly flights from Kuala Lumpur to Da Nang Vietnam effective 10 June 2013. The airline announced the withdrawal from the route is a part of its route network realignment.

Effected customers of AirAsia will be offered options to alleviate any inconvenience that might occur and each affected guest will be notified via their registered member email account on the AirAsia website, as well as an SMS notification of the route termination. AirAsia’s customer service personnel will also notify each affected guest via phone on the options available to them.

Đà Nẵng is one of the major port cities in Vietnam (in addition to Ho Chi Minh city and Hai Phong) and the biggest city on the South Central Coast of Vietnam. AirAsia has introduced direct flights to Da Nang in December 2011 as its third destination in Vietnam after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and seventh destination within Indochina which includes Siem Reap, Phnom Penh (Cambodia); Vientiane (Laos) and Yangon (Myanmar).

Customers affected by cancellations will be offered one of the below options:
  1. Move their flights to an earlier date to or from Kuala Lumpur or Da Nang, Vietnam without any extra charges and subject to availability.
  2. Be offered a credit shell for the value that they paid with a validity of 6 months
  3. Full refund
Customers can also get in touch with AirAsia’s Customer Care Team via social media by simply tweeting to twitter.com/AskAirAsia for further enquiries about this route suspension.
