Sony PS4 priced at $399 Amazon excepts pre-orders


The latest installment of  Sony's video game console, Sony PlayStation 4, which has been  announced during a press conference in February 2013, will be priced at US$399 in the US. The price of PS4 is US$100 less than what Microsoft plans to charge for its upcoming Xbox One.

Sony PlayStation 4 was expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2013. According to Amazon has planned to release it on December 31 2013 in the United States. On the other hand Interested parties can pre-order the PS4 online today because Sony's PlayStation 4 is now available for pre-order on U.S. retailers such as Amazon.

Andrew House, president and group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, has also briefly introduced PS4 at the Sony press conference at E3. Back in February 2013 there were lots of details about features and strategy but Sony didn't show a glimpse of the system itself.

PS4 will be run on a beast, 8-core Jaguar AMD CPU and use Radeon graphics engine with 18 compute units. PS4's graphic engine has the capability of 1.84-teraflops (nearly two trillion floating operations per single second). PS4 will have 8GB of GDDR5 RAM memory and a hard drive storage, Bluray, Bluetooth and USB ports, WiFi and Ethernet.
