Thai Airways will fly direct from Bangkok to Sapporo , Japan



Thai Airways, the national flag carrier and largest airline of Thailand, will fly from Bangkok (Thailand) to Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido province in northern Japan, starting from 30 October 2012 with Airbus A330-300 aircraft. Thai Airways will operate 3 flights per week from Bangkok to Sapporo ’s Chitose Airport departing Bangkok on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 23.45 hours and arrive in Sapporo at 08.00 hours local time on the next day. On the return, flight TG 671 will depart Sapporo on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10.45 hours and arrive in Bangkok at 16.15 hours on the same day.   From 30 December 2012 THAI will operate four flights per week.[1]

Thai Airways International currently flies to 5 destinations in Japan:


  • From Bangkok to Narita (21 flights per week)
  • From Bangkok to Haneda (7 flights per week)
  • From Bangkok to Nagoya (11 flights per week)
  • From Bangkok to Osaka (17 flights per week)
  • From Bangkok to Fukuoka (7 flights per week)

Mr. Pandit Chanapai , THAI Executive Vice President of Commercial, announced that THAI adjusted its marketing plans and strategies not only to increase travel convenience for passengers bound for Japan , but also to support the increase in number of passengers travelling there. [1]

To celebrate the launch of flights from Bangkok to Sapporo, Thai Airways is offering Economy Class tickets from THB 29,300 and Royal Silk Class ticket starts from THB 64,920.[2]
